Caroline and Robin couldn’t stand the thought of having to stop and be photographed in cheesy poses, so they wanted a wedding photographer who could just capture events as they happened, unobtrusively and without interference. This is, of course, exactly what I do. So, on one of the last days of 2008, mid-afternoon with the sun already low in the clear blue sky, I came to St Theresa’s Catholic Church in Southwick to capture Caroline and Robin tying the knot. Here was Robin, an Anglican priest, getting married in a Catholic church, which was unusual in itself. However the very impressive space inside the church was lit by the most beautiful light from the setting sun which caught the incense smoke and gave everything an incredibly romantic feel. I was rather proud of the results.
